Competitor, So Stoked bodyboarding contest, Sandy Beach (Half Point), 6/5/22. Fun waves at the contest but was super shallow in the morning. I got all buss up with my knees and thighs hitting bottom.

I got slammed several times yesterday. Half Point was super shallow and there was nowhere to run and hide. On this one I moved over to the peak between heats when a set wave came through. Could not dive so just took it at water level. If you remember the old Mike Stewart instructions on negotiating impact zones, it worked for me! Photo by Kimo Smith.
