Casey Simmons, Sandy Beach, 8/24/19. Every session there seems to be one person who seems to be on it. On both Sat and Sun the guy who I lined up with most was Casey. Despite the poor/fair conditions Casey snagged some of the better ones.
Reminds me a little of the pics that Warren Bolster used get but a bit further back. He used to get those nice down the line visions, just not from the barrel.
An honor to have my photos compared to the late great Bolster. He was an interesting character. Aloha!

Don’t write the south shore off just yet Neo. Haha Last October was epic. South shore was head high plus every day. But looking forward to the start of our winter. Just can’t get up to the NS as often as surfing town. Heavier more consistent waves plus cooler temps. Winter is coming. Yesssd

Hey Neal. I was trying to think who this surfer is. He’s really getting shade. If he has an S logo it’s gotta be Dwayne Scharsh. Even if it’s not him thanks for making me think of him. I miss seeing him getting bombs like that. RIP Dwayne.

Troy, I remember Dwayne. Good guy even though we had some disagreements. Gave this shot (2011) to his wife at the funeral.
