My goal is 10k per day, but there are some days that I only make 9 and change but as long as I had a good sesh of lifting i'm all good.

I also try and hit 20k at least once a week
20k is five miles, approximately. You walk ten miles once a week?

If I take a 2 hour hike combined with everything else I do I hit 20k no problem

Actually, 20k steps is ten miles, approximately. I got it wrong in my post. In a two hour hike, you will be lucky to walk 6-7 miles.

I know; I walk at lot and time it.

I’m not talking about a single hike, I’m talking about cumulative for the day

Some kind of movements every day, even in small amounts are beneficial. Keep the blood flowing my friends. Too much, too little who really knows, but a sedentary lifestyle is a pathway to trouble.
