A strong North Atlantic Gale is to form this weekend off Bermuda which will send solid groundswell throughout the whole North Atlantic. The entire East Coast and especially the Carribean should be lighting up for New Years. Anybody looking to get away for New Years for a quality surf trip should seriously consider a tix to Puerto Rico where they are gonna get bombed with a 15 ft north swell from this storm.

Unfortunately the models have reduced the intensity of that low numerous times since you (and I mentioned something about it in another thread) posted about it. It looked very impressive in the models 2 days ago, and now it (IMO) is a "keep an eye on it" thing.

RG, here is something a little more reliable: look to building SSW windswell Monday into Tuesday, with a cleanup sometime Tuesday from a passing cold front bringing NW winds.
