What part of the fin base do I have to sand down to make a fin made for the front Futures boxes fit a rear quad Futures box?
This one in particular.

You'd pretty much have to sand a 1/4" off the entire fin base. Futures boxes with the "F" logo on the bottom are 3/4" deep. These are the side boxes. Futures boxes with an "X" are a 1/2" deep. These are the trailer boxes on a quad and the center box on a thruster. They do this because a lot of boards are narrower towards the tail. It makes sense, but if you are getting a custom done and it's thick enough, there's no reason not use the 3/4" boxes for the trailers. You just put shims under your 1/2" fins.

I thought the DVS were designed as rear trailers? Or did I miss read what you want?
I live around the corner from shapers if you want me to check if they do something specific. They always have bits and pieces of samples floating around

Gave shapers a call this morning and they only make them with bases to fit the 3/4" boxes which are the side thruster boxes.
They do have an SB fin which fits the 1/2" rear quad boxes.
Not the same template though.

I typed the thread title at about 5am-ish after a surf check and wasn't really paying too much attention...after that I replied with my phone which had the ue boom ads swallowing up most of the screen when in landscape mode.
So I ask for an ammnesty on spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
It did look like a 20w-50 thread hey?
