3.5 year old in the hospital with viral infection since Saturday. Her mom bailed on vacation.
My wife is at home with our 4 month old.

It's been a struggle

NOOOOOWWW she might be trying to tune up her golden fiddle. The day my wife leaves on safari (announced on instgram of course) my former assistant, several weeks into her new job, just happens to text me today, out of the blue, for the very first time since she left 2 months ago. Innocuous and pleasant enough..She then asked how i was doing and that she misses working for me and that we should have lunch soon.

perfectly harmless I’m sure , but you can count on me including my my wife on this little lunch.it’s one thing for my wife to trust and be ok with me squiring my pretty young assistants around town to elegant client lunches, but thats part of the job. A lunch NOW would raise some eyebrows

if she is just keeping in touch out of genuine friendship and even simple networking , having my wife join us for lunch is probably best for everyone

Yeah, so she uh… she followed up again today with “I’m in midtown Tuesdays and Thursdays, pick a day and I’ll come meet you wherever”

um. I read also today that 43 is a prime age for midlife crises, especially when you’re a childless Peter Pan with disposable income, a DOPE new sport coat (I know you guys love when I get new sport coats) and a wife who is literally off the grid in Botswana for 10 days.

Meanwhile I’m just watching the Yankees smash and pitch their way to a perhaps historically significant season. Epic day in the Bronx my homie and a few of my favorite clients

The sport coat sort of screams tasteful mid life crisis. Maybe my former assistant smells it on me?

Picked up covid in Nashville. no ocugh just body aches and stomach issues. 4 of us got it, all vacced first timers, no one has major symptoms

new neighbors have been loud as hell and they are below us, in their 20s. I really dont wanna mobve because every place else I looked is 200 dollars more a month and just as shitty

locked my keys in my car Saturday morning taking my girl to breakfast. Waited two hours and 80 bucks later...

all while having diarrhea for 4 days.

then left my windows cracked and it stormed this morning and im now sitting in the office with wet pants and waiting to see if I will continue spraying sh!t like an inverted cherub statue
