Always wanted to get a rocket. I tried ordering one from Noah Budroe a few times, but he never got back to me on email, text or phone call. Pyzel has one similar called the Rip Off. The Rocket Redux looks fun. How do you size a rocket?
racer1 you're a better surfer than me in better surf than me so I didn't post anything but since you're getting no feedback...cough retodd chime in retodd.

In general it seems like people have gone pretty close to shortboard volume. I think maybe pickles got it a bit up-volumed?

I am 6-0 × 190+ and I need more volume than than
A 5-10.5 × 20.25 x 2.57 would be good I think

The Rocket (Lost Version) was one of my favorite boards of all time. Probably the best board I've ever owned for pocket surfing. When the waves asked for going top to bottom, this board was the call. But if the waves started running down-the-line, I started to struggle on it.

I went pretty extreme with the dimensions and sized it 6" under my height, which was too short. I think going this short (combined with the extreme tail rocker) is where I struggled maintaining that down the line speed. If it was 2-3 inches longer than what I ordered, I think it would have been perfect. I went with hpsb volume.

On a different note, I once had a Noah Budroe board that went insane. Step down shortboard shape with a really nice tucked down rail and minimal concaves. Absolutely loved that thing and it made me want another NB board (if I can get my hands on one).

I hope NB is getting royalties from Biolos for that Rocket design.

I've got the Pyzel version.
5'11x20x2 7/16 31L feels $ for me @ 6'3x185
For me everytime I've bumped up the vol it fugs up the feel.

I would be interested in the updated Rocket. I had the original one, which I ordered custom, but the rail volume came out all crazy. It was still a very fun board.

Hows the flat deck on it? Does 2 7/16 feel like 2 1/2 or more?

Theres an older guy at my local that has the Pyzel version. It's probably 8 years old and beat to sh!t, but he swears by it and rips on it.

Def more 2/716. Not bloated. Noticed the stock dims on the 5'11 at 2 3/8 thick are about 32L.
Not sure if this was a custom. Craigslist special.
