It is not Tabuaeran/Fanning Island - could be; as the setups are similar but it's not.I know! And I thought I knew where it was (Fanning Island), but it wasn't.
Obviously not an easy place to get to, and an even tougher place to time a swell due to those difficulties and the narrow swell angle that works. I was there on a boat years ago and our well travelled captain claimed it was the best reef setup for surfing he’s ever seen. But it doesn't have Facebook-listed accommodations, an airport for easy access nor are there numerous clips that name the spot on YouTube -already known
