This is only one of the spots that the Maldives has to offer. It's hard to go to the other spots when you can order drinks and food after surfing and only about a five minute walk from your hotel room. I miss it already!

I only wanted to film my friend and some empty waves (every other wave or so). The wave is super playful, with clean-up sets and the swinging waves having Indo power.

Other spots had more critical sections, but all and all a great racetrack to speed down.

P.S. Scott Bass came up with the "Maldive Mirage" title. I guess it does fit the trip I went on, being that the Maldives can go dead flat for weeks (I got it at chest high at the smallest).

Some of the guys drop in, but you get enough to yourself to not think about the one or two 20 person sessions.

I got lucky, a week before I went, there were 150 surfers in the resort. I hurd the boats to take you to the other spots (18 max people per boat), were packed the night before. You had to wait in line to sign up. All this meaning the left out front (in video) was packed. I think the resort had 40 or so surfers during my stay, a good number to keep the crowd down. The only circus was at sunset where 30 or so guys battled the lineup out front.

Plenty of waves and plenty of fun, if your lucky to hit the swell right and crowd right...
