Sage isn't the brightest bulb in the 805. She's pretty, but brainy she ain't.
During her heat, she asked her competitor who had priority... when (a) she should know how priority works, (b) she should know she didn't have priority because she took the last wave, and (c) there's a priority disc SHOWING which color has it curing competition.
Tatiana - thinking fast and very much in the Slater mode - said "you do" when in fact Tatiana did. Sage fell for it. She took off on a wave in front of Tatiana thinking it was hers, and she got a triangle.
I don't like Tatiana's surfing but that was Sage's fault.
