Friend got one of those carbon ones. Loves it. He’s not a great surfer and has never ridden twins before so he’s blown away at the east speed with the twin trailer.

I got one as a buddy loved his. I haven’t ridden it all that much but went well the few sessions I’ve given it. Paddles well and handled solid drops smoothly. I haven’t really dialed in fins yet but felt way over finned with Rasta twins which I like in my AO. Have not ridden a RNF in ages so can’t really compare.

I'm curious too, on account of how good my RNF96 is. Wonder how it would go set up as straight twin, like with the Britt Merrick twins? anyone tried that?

pretty similar other than the wing. tripper looks pulled in in the nose & tail
I'm sure the bottom contours, rocker, etc might be different
interesting how the retro tripper has the trailing edge of the fins behind the wing

I have a friend that loves the cobra killer, it has a really aggressive double concave near the fins, I don't even know if it is a true double but it is wild by the fins. Friend swears by it.

edit He spiderwebbed the deck by the tail very fast which is a shame because the glass w resin tint looks nice

Anybody try one?
anybody try one who’s also ridden a RNF96?

My friends shop has a few trippers and I kinda want to get one based on how much I like the RNF96.
Bump…anyone who also has a rnf96? Step up from there? Low end?

it’s been awhile since I’ve ridden a rnf but I would say the retro tripper has less low end. I packed a few twin fins, due to the forecast, for recent Southpac trip and retro tripper goes well fitting the curve of pitching reefbreak better than the Twinbender which also goes well just different approach. Of course archer vs. arrow etc.
