I just recently got one from ebay. It is flimsy 3d printed plastic and did not feel very secure in the box. I added some packing tape to each side of the adapter to get it to fit more snugly in the longboard box and I've surfed it 3x without losing the fin. So I guess it is working so far but I don't love it. Still has some wobble and I don't fully trust it.

There is an FCS brand one for the OG twin tab fins that I am tempted to try but I don't really have any good FCS fins. I have to imagine the FCS branded product would be made of something more stout than 3d printed plastic. I have a gazillion center fin options for Futures so I really wish I could find a better solution for that fin system.

I was thinking - could one perhaps add some epoxy to the flimsy plastic body to build its strength? or something else .... maybe carbon fiber tape?

just a thought.

I highly doubt that you have the leeway to add a layer of carbon or fiberglass + resin to the adapter and still have it fit inside the fin box.

There is room for a layer or two of packing tape on each side which is much thinner. If you dont mind messing around with it like I did just get one and try for yourself. Its not expensive at least.
