The feds already owns the frontage rights to the entire border from Calif to the border of Texas, as well as additional frontage in Texas itself.

I had to revisit that one.

9.52mill acres of public land is inaccessible due to being bordered by private lands.

There is 640million acres of federal public land, that does not include state land.

So it’s hardly “most” land is inaccessible. But 9.5mill is definitely a large amount of land by anyone’s definition.

There has been some tremendous progress on getting back access to those landlocked public land areas.

Bears might be a different story though.

Under military control.

Do we want our military directly controlling border territory? What are the unintended consequences? What precedent is this setting?
To build a wall for border security, not to emplace artillery to site in on Mexico or to keep Americans from getting out. .
