I first used DAKINE leashes but they would break & swivel would stop spinning.
Then i started to use CREATURES leashes. They held up & da swivel was awesome! Only thing the cuff felt too big.
Then i started to use XM leashes. Cuffs were small but swivels sucked.
Now i use FCS leashes. So far da most durable, best swivel, & most comfortable leash ive used.
But i was just checking out KOMUNITY site & their leash design looks solid! Anyone check em out yet or try em? In fact are they even for sale yet?

Made in same factory as the o&e leashes I think, same one piece design ,which tangle like f;ck. Really hard inflexible plastic.

definitely a fan of the creatures leashes...as mentioned, very solid & hold up really well over time. i have a 6' comp that's my go-to leash for every day surf out here up to HH, going on 5 years old. might be about 7' long now, but solid as ever.

I had horrible luck with the creatures leashes. Used to get a bro deal on them but after a while I felt like it was worth paying 3x as much for something different. Broke like 5 comps and 3 regulars in one year. They seemed to tangle worse than others as well. FCS were alright but kind of stiff I though. Da Kine leash treated me well, lasted 2 years. On the Stay Covered bandwagon now. Soft, Supple, great colors, made in US.

i have an old (2005-ish) stay covered leash that i keep as a back-up on surf trips or on bigger/heavier days here. definitely a well-made leash.

dakine are good but they snap at the connector when a wave really does that extra yank.

been enjoying creatures since. no problems so far. they reduced the excessive size of the rail saver strap too so that's nice.

Oh ok.

I remember when komunity 1st came out w/ leashes & they didn't look any special or better. They were these if not mistaken

So da KS 1.1 leashes are not da newer/better models they now make? I don't think i've seen em yet in shops here...or i probably jus wasn't looking.

had a couple dakine leashes and the rubber was where it'd snap, not the connector. FCS on the other hand would snap at the connector (happen twice for me) and the KS leash looks like an FCS. long lasting leash i've had is an OAM.

Oh, yep you are right madness, that's the one I had. POS. The new ones look just like the one piece o&amp;m leashes which have held up well for me but do wrap my leg like crazy <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cussing.gif" alt="" />

They do hold up in heavier days here in norcal though FWIW

I've been stoked on a regular 6' BlockSurf leash I picked up recently, I think those are US built right? Experts please chime in

5'6" Stay Covered was really good until the velcro died and the swivel broke.

Couple customer service setbacks, but all is good.

Good Product.

Crow Haley as my step-up leash is SOLID.
A little wrappy at times, but I don't ever feel like it's gonna break or get loose.
Crow Haley is an awesome dude.

Wish he made super light comps.
