I was mountain biking in Topanga Canyon just over the hill when it happened. I hate to say it but visibility was pretty bad this morning. The mountains were pretty socked in with fog. I’m sure an investigation will determine if this was mechanical or pilot error, but it sure seemed like a less than ideal day to be flying a helicopter.
