Funny how reluctant the top guys are to experiment with board design beyond small tweaks. Was surprised to hear neither of them seemed to have tried asymmetrical boards. I'd think guys at that competitive level would try anythign to get an edge. Am curious if they ever mess with fins- or just ride their own template all the time to eliminate one variable that could disrupt consistency.

Same here, seems odd but understandable that they don't experiment with other designs. When watching Jordy on IG live about his fins, he was saying he likes to eliminate all the variables and just ride his new template on pretty much the same board design with just small tweaks for different locales. Makes sense for comp, but kind of boring for the rest of us.
Yeah, I always like seeing them jump on a twin as soon as they retire from the tour.
