Is the East Coast about to score?

Might be worth a run back up there. But I don’t know if I’m surfing in 40 knot winds regardless of it’s direction. I just ate those mushrooms so I’ll report back in a few hours

meanwhile. Here is a screen grab of the surf cam at Lahinch. That’s me waving at the camera. High tide. Howling onshore.

so then we just got really high. I think we’re about 450 feet here

Great place, funny, wife and I parked right in front of that sign behind the RV in May.
Your cruising the same area we explored.
If you are still in the area, check out the Ring of Baehra on the Wild Atlantic Way, there's a couple of promising looking surf set-ups if the wind isn't blowing 50knts and victory at sea waves.

I actually got a brand new O’Neill 4/3 for the trip (I needed a new one anyway)

the new sport coat will be for dinner at trumps place tomorrow night

the Dingle peninsula not only has a dope name, it lives up to the hype

I got to eat a dozen gummies and my wife drove home. The ride without having to focus was unreal. She’s a peach, and a hell of a driver. Passing milk trucks like paddy Andretti

And here I’d have bet good money you’d be in the hospital by now with wild mushroom induced kidney failure.

4/3s were probably the mm I wore most. I ended up always getting Xcel because I fear change.

Stocked you and the mrs are having a nice trip and maybe even surfed together.

And saving wearing the new jacket to have dinner with President Trump is a total power move and I wouldn’t be surprised if he didnt pick up on your style vibes.

We are up at the causeway. Caught an Ulster Leinster rivalry match last night after a 6 hour drive from Clare. Woke up to this. After a good sunrise walk along the causeway shore, having a big breakfast, and surfing the overhead offshore beach break down the hill in front of royal port rush. Wind is off shore, and it will be my first time surfing the North Sea (I think we’re on the North Sea now)
Here’s a quick taste

Surf was a no go. Wind had switched hard and it was a serious washing machine. This beach is ground zero for surfing in this region. Nobody even checking it. Maybe could have made the paddle. Actually catching one of these mutants? Nah. We went to Belfast and did a black taxi tour. Super gnarly. Those guys are still killing each other occasionally. And the proddies and the Catholics can still only tread into certain areas before dark. Not as dangerous as it was but Belfast still has serious gang warfare in the guise of religious differences. They’re all just gangsters now; the groups in the streets and council flats anyway.

Here was the beach where people surf when it’s manageable.

The dark side of Belfast still simmers. Those hatred’s run DEEP bros. These are a few examples of the non lethal rounds used by the English in the 80s. Our guide caught a pointy of these in the shoulder in a “great riot back in the day. Couldn’t go to hospitals of course cause then they’d have ya and arrest ye”
Rubber bullets like these killed several dozen people during the troubles. They were harder than lacrosse balls. The non pointy ones were the ”less lethal” ones they used without pointy ends. Deaths did decrease, but not by much.

I’ll leave you with a mural of this peach. Responsible for the deaths of at least 17 Catholics, that they know about. Most of his killing was to protect or expand drug turf. He was finally whacked by HIS OWN PRODDY BROS because they knew he was such a murderous psychopath that he was a threat to all of them. So they blew him up, blamed the IRA naturally, and gave the guy a mural and made him a war hero. That was in 2000. Not 1974. 2000.
Most recent murder attributed to the ongoing beef was back in 2020

this chit is intense up here bros. It’s not history it’s current events.

Fair enough. An admitted catholic “retired” soldier turned tour guide told me this backstory, and also admitted he is biased, but that the above account is the predominant word on the street even 22 years later, believed by catholic and Protestant alike. If you’ve heard a different version, like the official one that gave him a mural, please enlighten the class. Or you can just say vaguely insulting obnoxious things contradicting a thing I heard directly from a primary source not 48 hours ago.
I have no quarrel with you. No reason to initiate one

There’s a nasty windblown swell hitting Rhode Island. Yesterday my buddy who lent me his whaler was coming by to pick it up cause we’re getting ready to pull the dock for the season. Took the boat to the breachway boat launch to meet him with his truck and trailer. Breachway was madness, while I was circling the channel and waiting for him I watched multiple sets close out across the mouth of the breachway.
