Is it weird that these “once in a century” weather events happen every year now?

I have always been of the mindset that explosives solve a lot of problems. C4 is safer - you can play football with it. I wouldn't do that with dynamite.

And btw, I think it is fucking beyond awesome that det cord burns at a rate of 5 football fields per second.

But that might be a little excessive for this project.

sh!t, I would just loosen up all the dirt on both sides with a couple lateral augers, pack a couple pounds worth of C4 in both, set the det cord, stand back 200 yards, and let her rip. Take the scattered dirt and flatten on either sides so track has a nice transition, tamp it down as needed.

Or you could just rent a Bobcat but where's the actual fun in that?

Are there still perfect lefts in front?
I worked with a little bit of dynamite the year I ski patrolled, but the bosses were hard asses about it, would not let us have any fun.

Oh yeah, all of that needs to be accounted for.

Worked on a well demo and, I mean, is anyone gonna miss one of the charges if we want to blow up a dumpster? Yes they will. Damn.

Playing catch with plastic explosive and then boarding a plane later that day was not a wise idea. I once got pulled into secondary for coldpatch asphalt fragments embedded in my hands (hilarious interview, I was several beers deep so perfectly relaxed and it was very chill) but not for actual explosives. Go figure.

I went through secondary inspection in Denver. They said they found some kind of explosive residue on my fingers. Swabbed my body, my clothes, and my carry-ons in the special room. Strip searched and left standing in the room with all my belongings scattered in the room while they all left without a word.
I knew the motel was a dump but...

They strip searched you? :roflmao:

They did nothing of the sort for me but I had obvious asphalt residue under my fingernails.

It was more of a bullshit session than anything else and actually kind of an entertaining conversation, mostly picked their brain on info about their jobs and BS associated with it.

Come to think of it, I've had more than a few solidly buzzed conversations with cops and other federal agents that have gone surprisingly well and learned many fun tidbits as a result.

Holy short fuse Batman.

I know nothing about explosives. But the guy that blew up Harvey's Casino in South Lake Tahoe used to be across the driveway from my shop. I believe that bomb was bigger than Oklahoma City. He shaped/glassed surfboards. He hung himself in Nicaragua a while back. Supposedly. RIP JB. I miss you. Against all odds.

Y'all are going down to elogros to blow sh!t up. cool
They’re gonna have to wait in line...

It’s raining on and off, wind out of all corners. Light, but always there swinging around. This afternoon was the first time since last Thursday that I could differentiate the river outflow from green water, right on the edge. Cold to warm.

Remember that?

These are sometimes chicken, sometimes feathers conditions as at any time one can wake up to new cleanly groomed swell. Or shitburgers.

Given the alternative... fvck it, let it ride.

I can’t figure out what you’re doing up there. You used to be a contender.

"Tourists at neighboring casinos bet on when the bomb would go off, or if it would go off. After the bomb detonated, crowds cheered and reveled from a safe distance."

God I love South Lake.

And this is why the North Shore is called the Bore Shore.

I took a lot of money from Harvey's over the years. Yes, there were a couple beatings but overall, oh yeah, I came out way ahead and that's not even counting the comped drinks. Mostly via Pai Gow. I still remember the one night, though, one chair over and I would have been up $2K instead of only $300. Alas. Closed down those tables at 5 AM more than once before taking a quick catnap and going boarding at Kirkwood, trading nugs for unlimited lift rides. Those. Were. The. Days.

Was bummed to see that Bill's was gone. $3 blackjack no more.

Please provide accurate world ocean temperature data over a period of at least 250 years that clearly and accurately shows the warming that you are suggesting. Please provide the methodology for gathering the requested data. Thanks.
Thanks for asking, here's my data!
From Wikipedia. This is the global average, but it does include the temperature of the oceans as well. I found this data by doing a 12-second google search of '2000 year temperature change graph. Furthermore, I have data on rising sea levels that may have come as a result of this temperature change, which I also found by performing a google search.

Only a fcking moron w his head up his own ass would ignore or cast doubt on the fact that humanity overloads the earth’s systems. A bunch of nutters with an agenda that overstate, overhype, miscategorize these issues etc isn‘t an excuse for you’re own special brand of denier nutso.

Climate Change is happening. It always has been happening, we’ve been coming out of an ice age for thousands of years

Has human activity contributed to acceleration? Probably, but we’re not stopping change regardless of what we do especially since global climate cycles happen with or without us

People focus on the apocalyptic aspects of climate change, without realizing that change can be beneficial for many locales
