If you left California, where would you move?

I'm a Californian (Bay Area,) and curious where you guys would move, if you left? I realize there are a million factors, and different variables, but being close to surf would be mandatory.

Fantasize about this everyday but due to my career theres only 3 viable options. LA, NY, and London. Turned down a good job in NY a year ago - and feel like now I'll probably never leave LA unless I switch mediums or careers in general.

But NY would def be an option, and outside the US Id probably go to Panama

Not Arizona. Most likely Vancouver BC or outside Vancouver.

On the coast, Florida probably, maybe one of the Carolinas. Mountain West state other than Colorado if I move away from the ocean. Outside the US, probably Panama.

I’ve grown to like Nevada. It’s a plus that it’s next to California.

Brazil or Colombia. Both are modern, livable, good weather, warm water, with great culture and people. If I needed to be in the US outside of California, maybe somewhere in the Carolinas.

@hammies I grew up in Vancouver. Good skiing and mountain biking, but far distance from surf. I spent a good portion of my 20s shuttling back and forth on the vancouver island ferry

I left Los Angeles for Pennsylvania(take care of Mom). I think the ocean is too crowded for me to move anywhere stateside for surf and I’m too old to move to abroad again = Colorado.
