The election is a year away, and a lot can happen between now and then. Even if you have a lot of confidence in the polling (which I don't) I don't think it's smart for us righties to proceed without a plan for considering how we're going to adjust to a possible Dem victory. Personally, if it happens then I'll prolly just revert to the plan I had in 2016. Sit back and milk the situation for its entertainment value.

Regardless of the outcome, we're all just along for the ride anyway. There's no future in getting too emotionally involved with who's on top at the moment because that's always subject to change.

The irony is how far the Dems have moved to the right given they love that corporate jizz $

Do you guys think the deficit created during trump's rein will have an influence on the economy at some point?

If Dems win prez and Senate, stock markets will crash.
The Dems were saying the same thing about Trump - if he won the markets would crash. Both parties do this every time.

The one thing I will say is that this economic cycle has been going on for a long time and has already reached a stage where it could turn. The trigger event doesn't have to make sense or be "true". It just has to be enough to spook the machines at a couple of the big investment firms.

I couldn't fckn believe some of the people who said that, like, a producer needed to escort them to a green room with a blanky, some milk, and cookies. I dunno if the shock even lasted a trading day; late morning that Wednesday was a good time to buy.

I think something like no more farm bailout and no solid re-entry into their old markets triggering a mild recession + interest rate tightening + entire fkn world in debt over its head is going to come about, and I think the deficit spending, trade war, loose fiscal/monetary policy on pain of political attack because MAGA KAG will be instrumental in aiding that snafu.

But politician I don't like wins = calamity I don't think is necessarily so. I can see Sanders or Warren triggering an asset value "correction". I just can't see them winning. Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Booker, even Grampa Gropey I don't think would cause much in the way of entropy.

I work adjacent to the real estate business which always runs in hot-cold cycles. One school of thought therein is that when a real estate market is running on irrational exuberance (or despair) it becomes irrational to attempt to predict when the herd will turn or exactly what the triggering event will be.

There are several good reasons why the general economy could turn, really at any point from here on out. And that doesn't include any "unpredictables" like a 9/11 attack or a hurricane laying waste to Manhattan or DC or some 29-yr old trading desk broker making a catastrophic play. Shoot, Trump could push his BigMac fetish one sandwhich too far or find himself in a malfunctioning aircraft.

Some of the talking heads who are making predictions right now may turn out to be right, either by luck or by acumen; but the righties who are counting chickens right now could be making a big mistake in not considering the possibility of the alternate outcome.

The righties shouldn't want to get caught in the same level of shock/dismay that happened to the Hillary supporters when their 99-1 sure thing turned out to be the loser.

There will be no 100-year political dynasty in American politics. It can't happen. IMO (lest afoaf take that last crack literally)

If Trump wins a second term might it be because people want him to be president for life and Jr. after that?
Are you taking Trump's sht-talking seriously? Every time he does that he is forcing the media to give him more attention. Do you have any idea what Biden or Warren said yesterday? No, you don't and neither does anyone else; because the media isn't covering every utterance that's coming out of their mouths every day. Just the interesting stuff.

The economy is probably going to take a dump at some point in the next 5 years. Even if Trump wins in 2020, by the time 2024 rolls around he's going to be more unhinged than Biden is right now, and everyone left of his base is going to be ready to go in the opposite direction. That's if he's still even alive by them.

I think the biggest btch slap Trump could give to his opposition would be to win the 2020 election, take office for 30 days, and then resign. Let Pence take over in order to give the left something to really cry about. Then when the economy takes a dump Trump gets to blame it on Pence.

I wonder if Trump retires to Singapore if the Secret Service has to maintain his security there?

You really don't think Trump would establish himself President for life if he could? He sure says it alot. By the way the "he was just kidding" is the worst excuse Trumptards have for defend a mentally unfit man. For the President of a Republic to even joke about being President for life should be impeachable.

No it's not.

Because Birtherism was a racist conspiracy theory.
Actually its not but that's a way for losers like you to spin it. All Obama has to do is release his college records and it would all be put to rest. Until he does people will continue to wonder if he committed the same sort of fraud regarding financial aid and admissions as the 1/1032nd Indian squaw is thought to have done to gain advantage.
