I've listened to the FD radio tapes just prior and at the moment the first plane hit the north tower. there was no mention of anything out of the ordinary occuring in either of the towers.
Not to mention that there are numerous accounts of the evacuees exiting the mezzanine level to the skyways and out the below ground exits to avoid falling debris and jumpers. If the basement had been blown, how could that have happened?

If you watch the video, you would see the first-hand account of an explosion in the sub-basement 2 or lower of the WTC that was strong enough to lift 14 people off the ground in sub-1. Someone in the same position in the tower in sub-2 had 1/3rd of their body burned by this explosion. This occurred PRIOR to the first plane hitting. This first-hand witness says he can provide another dozen first-hand witnesses who were also in the sub-basement and can verify that there was a powerful explosion in the sub-basement - below them - BEFORE the first plane hit.

These events did not make the 9-11 Commission Report despite their obvious implications that there was at least something else that was substantially out-of-the-ordinary going on BEFORE the first plane hit.

question: If these explosions happened prior to the planes hitting what took so long for the towers to fall? I thought the whole controversy was the alleged evidence of proffessional demo techniques like I-Beams sheared at an angle. If the demo went off before the planes hit why would it take almost an hour for the buildings to fall?

Most people who look closely at the evidence surrounding 9-11 find that there are too many abnormalities to be explained by the "official" report. This is yet another one. If there were no planes hitting the WTC on 9-11, a huge explosion in the sub-basement would have made national news and sparked a large investigation, because it falls clearly within the realm of possible terrorist acts.

However, in this case, it was ignored completely. Even though it is clearly entirely independent of anything that the airplane did, and it clearly was a huge explosion in a terrorist target, it was ignored.

If a building like WTC7 fell in an apparent demo without being hit by a plane, and it was reportedly caused by fire, it would be robustly laughed at by anyone who watched the video or had ever seen a building demo (or knew that for it to fall in that way would have required 47 independent steel beams to fail within milliseconds of each other). But if it happened on 9-11 it would be ignored by the 9-11 Commission, who did not address the cause of WTC7's collapse even though there is clear evidence of high temperature sulfur attacks on samples of the WTC7 steel beams that was published by FEMA.

Until such an investigation makes an honest attempt at determining the causes of 9-11, we are all less safe. There are clearly reasons why such an investigation is being suppressed, but we do not know those reasons, but they are bound to be an attempt to increase the power of political posts, possibly by concealing incompetence, possibly by concealing treason.

Until a real investigation starts, we will all be in the dark.

maybe bush is in the dark, and some super secret group of masons and skull and bones types were able to plan the attack for years and years in advance, using their crystal balls to be able to foresee the future state of geo-politics, knowing a puppet would be in the white house, and that the thousands of people involved in the conspiracy would all, to a man, keep their mouths shut about the years long planning and execution, the procurement of passenger jet airlines, the killing and disposal of those that supposedly died when their planes crashed, the elaborate plans involving ticket purchases and travel plans with the affiliated employers and family members, the destination hotel reservations that were made knowing that it was an elaborate rouse, the procurement of explosives, the demolition work inside the towers and all the workers required to do the work, the procurement and planting of the explosives, the elaborate wiring involved, the FAA and air traffic controllers on the payoff that all plotted the fake attacks and communications with the supposedly hijacked airlines, and on, and on, and on, and on...

all these people in the know, willing to kill thousands of their fellow americans, all in on it, all keeping quiet about the most elaborate and complex conspiracy ever even dreamt of...

the events were chaotic and catastrophic, and there will always be unanswered questions because the entireity of the events were so unbelievably horrific and destructive, with unbeleivable amounts of kinetic and chemical energy released.

jesus christ...investigators still can't even figure out what happened in the tunnel in the newhall pass on interstate 5 with any certainty, other than a truck apparently started a chain reaction collision, but the specifics are still unknown, despite THOUSANDS OF MAN HOURS of investigation. and guess what, steel was melted and burned by gasoline sparked fires in this instance, too!

Blakestah, I have 2 thoughts/questions:

What happens if you are right and we all find out "the truth"? Are you happy, sad or surprised? What do you expect people to do, storm the capitol? If there is a group that is able to put together such a conspiracy do you really think we would have any means to do anything about it? Or is this just a "the sky is falling and we're all screwed!" announcement?
