How do you feel about a president faking phone calls with China in an attempt to boost trading markets?

Above what law? Is the President lying about something inconsequential against the law now? Is he under oath at all times?
The lies are Inconsequential? You sure about that? The end justifying the means argument is great until it isn’t. It’s a dangerous thing to allow that kind of manipulation from our politicians.

A few others provided examples of non political figures facing the law due to manipulation of the markets. So why shouldn’t we hold a government clerk to those same standards again?

This really goes against your “let the markets work themselves out” screeching.

What do you think our politicians do? Their whole job is to manipulate every aspect of life so the masses think there is a reason to keep them around

Now I'll repeat myself for the thousandth time, that pointing something out that exists in practice doesn't mean I agree with it or endorse it

The President shouldn't be involved in trade- at all. Whether it is signing agreements all the way down to tweeting about it shouldn't be a thing. Unfortunately it is, and when manipulating markets works out for us over our competitors we shouldn't GAF. If you're not cheating you're not trying

I was provided a hypothetical about Tim Cook and then Martha Stewart as an example. Martha Stewart was a victim of "obstruction" of justice overreach tyranny.

He is desperate...thought a trade war against China would be an easy win when in reality will be a long, drawn out battle. China is becoming the most powerful country in the world. Nothing Trump can do to stop China.

China will do a great job of stopping themselves with their continued tyranny, bloated bureaucracy, overpopulation, and waste projects

China will be just fine. Playing the long game while Trump playing short while trying to satisfy his "base". China more globalist while America becoming more isolationist with tariffs hurting economy. China can disregard US now and continue trading with Russia and the rest of the world in their ascent to world dominance.

WTF are you talking about?
Read up further in the thread about your claims on what market closed at yesterday. You're talking all this sh!t, are wrong as usual, and then either ghost or claim ignorance (valid claim actually).
