Been watching some on
Stocktwits. Particularly Tesla, Disney, and a few other local companies.
I'm sure all the losses will be up big again by end of week. Usually how it goes....

Here is a good stock tip:

How are the (air) pollution levels in China?

If it is good, then sell.

If it is bad, then the coal is burning again. This should mean the power plants are back online. Which means teh factories are working again, which means the world economy can start getting back to "normal".

Is that ironic or paradoxical?

It kinda seems like the financials people just make up the rules as they go along. The rules are always "We make more money by rigging the whole thing"
They love having their talking heads recommending strong buys while the institutional side is having a fire sale and the public gets left holding the bag.

Volatility is their bread and butter. Nobody in the financial world likes stability.

How freaking bummed are the Dims going to be when the market bounces back without the desired effects on their election chances?

Without a doubt both sides are going to spin this recent decline to their own ends.

Even if the market turns around tomorrow, I can't see how the first quarter is going to look all that good when it comes time to report....declines in equities, commodities and (despite the usual 'run for the hills' clarion call that is) gold presages a poor coming 1st quarter report.

Or not. Me saying there is a good chance of a bad 1st quarter should be proof that now is the time to buy, buy, buy!
