Oh i was totally kidding. I bought half a coin 2-3 years ago for 2g's i think. forgot all about it till this week. Guess I made around 8-9 g's so far? not bad - not retiring from it but hey if it keeps going up - who knows whatll happen.
watch this new SEC lawsuit against Ripple's XRP currency classifying it as selling an unlicensed(controlled) security.
FinCen and Treasury also have their own projects to track unreported capital gains and potential crypto use by "sanctioned" parties to wash dirty funds.
If crypto gets flagged for OFAC and CTR reporting based on any standard financial vehicles (card/cash) used for the purchase of these items, it'll get messy. CTR requirements can go down as low a $2000-$5000 these days

I bought some bitcoin in 2016 when it was at around $400 because my friend insisted it was a good investment. I had no idea what he was talking about but now I consider him my best friend

Not trying to hurt, probably unconsciously trying to justify my own buy and hold approach. or worse, unconsciously trying to share my pain of selling too early as well.
