What a trip seeing AMAT and AMSL…I owned these back in my mid 20’s in mid to late 1990’s….my whole thesis was own the supplier’s (drugs) fark Intc…made bank on both but should have just hold on.

The older I’ve become, buy and hold is piece of mind and Rad.…except for chines stocks.…first started with the Mathews Funds when they came out…then after holding Baba and bidu for 20 plus years it seams like, didn’t really make that much.
i've had a few shares of baba only since the pandemic, but it sure seems like 20 years :roflmao:
made a few bucks off of bidu and tencent early on but baba has not panned out....yet!

that NVDA pop was good for just about everybody - if it had done otherwise, today would be a very different day. but it didn't and here we are :waving:

I read that book in my 20s. Think I picked it up at a used book store on 16th at Valencia. Not a bad read for a beginner, but no need to buy when when you can read the comments and get 95% of the condensed knowledge.

They have a relatively low number of total shares, insiders ownage % seems high, institutional ownership is over 70%, so, supply and demand + hype = big wins! Not sure how this would protect against change of perception.

Lol, took me 10 years to realize this. I sure am dumb.

I always heard it, but what finally taught me is that when my son was born I setup up his own vanguard account and dumped half my portfolio and savings into Vanguard ETFs and setup autopayments for his college fund. That Vanguard account with the autopayments has absolutely smoked any of my other trading accounts. Since that, I've opened other Vanguard accounts and just setup monthly payments with the remainder of my portfolio.

But I still keep a small YOLO fund for doing dumb chit.

IMO the Dow will hit 40K this year, but 2025 will see a retreat across the board with a mild recession.

Who is brave enough to go for PUTS on NVDA and when?

Can it crack $1k?

Where do we go from here?

How long until this AI bubble bursts? 6 months? Years?

So many questions, so few answers.
Been considering for month. I call it insurance. 1 lot of way out of the money puts, could be a nice life saver.
