I liked Burton Malkiel's take - at any given time, no one knows more than the market what a security is worth. Will it go higher based on "firm foundation" or "castles in the air" valuations? Who knows? Personally, I'd sell because I think the AI bubble is going the way of the cloud bubble shortly, but I can't say when. Older engineers told me about the optical bust in 2006 where entire divisions were closed and companies shuttered. The smartphone boom seems to be ending as well.

The booms and busts have seemed less and less reality-based since.

duh

Cheap credit was keeping a lot of corporations afloat but interest rates are one of the only knobs the Fed can turn to control inflation since Congress has no fiscal responsibility nor are our policies controlling the cost of raw inputs to things we buy at the store - quite the contrary. As a banking cartel, the Fed doesn't seem to want to increase interest rates more because of its big banking and big corporate stakeholders who expect low interest rates and cheap money.

Counting shrinkflation and looking at grocery store prices, we can't say inflation was ever controlled over the past 4 years.

Conspiracy theories.

I don't have time for your nonsense.

Palantir's WAY up. Did you end up taking any profits, Chimpi? Men of your means cannot afford to play too long of a game.

Who is brave enough to go for PUTS on NVDA and when?

Can it crack $1k?

Where do we go from here?

How long until this AI bubble bursts? 6 months? Years?

So many questions, so few answers.

No plans to sell anytime soon. I told you bro, things are proceeding according to plan with PLTr only ahead of schedule.

It could crack $1k based on Castles in the Air - it seems to have a lot of hype. Knowing it's a bubble puts you far ahead of your peers.

I love how they truncate the share price history in these articles. Bearishness on Palantir might have something to do with it being unprofitable for 93% of the fiscal years of its existence. According to a castles-in-the-air valuation (hype/marketing) though, it might stay up and go up. Do you think it'll achieve the heights of January 2021 again, Chimpi? It went the wrong direction today. You lost a dollar per share today. Admittedly, it has spent most of its time above its IPO, but an index fund has been more solid.

LYFT had a huge pump on earnings for 73%

Too bad there was a typo on the report.
  • Adjusted EBITDA margin expansion was 50 basis points year-over-year.

  • But the report said 500. Whoops.
And stock guys talk about crypto being a ponzi. GTFOMF with that look-the-other-way bs. :roflmao:

You seem like you really need this to go up, but you're already up 150% since the IPO unless you bought a lot at a high price. Did you buy a lot in 2021? That was a bad time to buy, but at least you're even now.
