My family wamts to go to Costa Rica for a month next summer (July/August 2023), and we are thinking about joining a home exchange website like www.homeexchange.com in order to facilitate that trip. This would allow us to do a recipricol exchange with a home owner in CR as a barter, which would save us around $10k over VRBO/AirBnB/etc rental fees for a month. Want to be on or near the beach to surf and fish everyday, probably NW like Tamarindo/Nosara.

Curious if anyone here has any experience with htat? Pros/Cons? Advice? Thanks...

With all of the platforms nowadays you might be better off just listing your own place on airbnb or furnished finder, then renting what you want
