What is the approximate depth of the water right there where that guy is in the barrel? Are you for sure hitting the reef if you go down?This was the size right before we paddled out , it bumped up significantly while we were out as well

super shallow on the take off , then not too bad until the surgeons table.
I only hit the reef 2 times and both were smaller waves
That said it seemed everyone I met out there had a story about getting smoked at HTs. oh yea I broke my nose there, oh yeah I got the worst cut there, my board hit me in the head etc etc etc.
perfect wave just powerful and has a nasty reef under it
