Where did the oxygen come from?
God created it 6000 years ago.

Or, from the great oxygenation period, about 2 billion years after the earth formed, producing oxygen at a level about 10% of today’s oxygen levels. It was until about 450,000,000 years ago that plants sprouted and started producing oxygen to levels necessary to allow mammals to evolve.

What mechanism produced the first oxygen.

Until about 800,000 years ago there was basically no free oxygen in the atmosphere.

Climate didn’t support human civilization until about 12,000 years ago.

So the remaining 4+ billion years were not really good times for life as we know it.
