Heading to punta de mita to surf solo

I had a pretty bad foot injury and this will be the first time back surfing. I will be in the sayulita area for a week.
Any ideas is apreciated. Board rentals or if u wanna join my session, super stocked to get back in the ocean

Not an expert on the area by any means, but there are plenty of reasonable rentals available in Sayulita. Main break there is a fat, rolling longboard wave that's constantly packed. Might be a good place to ease back in to things given your injury. There's also a reasonably fun little left reef a couple hundred yards down the beach iirc. Otherwise, Punta Mita is fairly close (30 minutes or so) with plenty of mellow options. Burros is fun, if a bit soft, reef outside the gates. the path down to it is right next to the entrance gate for the Palladium Resort. Good luck and have fun!

Yup. Direct flights to Puerto Vallarta were cheaper than Cabo last time I checked. Mexico City was like $250 round-trip. Might be more expensive around the holidays now.
