Got my 2nd Pfizer 10 days ago. Zero side effects. Wifey, though, was another story. Her hands swelled up like they belonged to a bricklayer. Hurt like hell and she told me all about it, constantly, for about 3 days.

got my second yesterday at the blaisdell.
essential worker group (never stopped working from day 1)
70% of our company got poked so far
a little sore around the prick/poke
but my its other shoulder that's killing me
feels almost like a muscle/rotator tear
the pain is starting to move down numbing my elbow
feels like I need a good punch in the shoulder blade to put it back in place
don't know if I'm been over doing my cane use
but my left arthritic knee has also been killing me the past two weeks as well
wonder if it's all the recommended anti-covid supplements I've been taking this past year taking as a precaution being exposed at work everyday catching up to me
(VTM D+K1/K2, Quercetin, Zinc, Ascorbyl Palmitate, DHEA, Prenegnolone, Tumeric, Astaxanthin)
I can't take ibuprofen cause of blood thinners for my stents.

at least they didn't make me wait the full 30 minutes like the first shot because my allergy to some antibiotics.
the crowd at the blaisdell is heavy 90 people every 10 minute block from 7:00 to 7:00 that's around 6000+/day
during the day we got word of people waiting 1 1/2 - 2 hours from arrival to the leaving.

so the pharmacy's and safeway are the best bet
CVS clears their national registry at 12 midnight EST. So book around that time for CVS
Safeway's even better as far as getting in from what I hear.

Myself and a few other local guys from Hawaii lived part time in downtown Boston on Boylston St. We stayed at the Prudential Plaza and were tour escorts bringing folks to Hawaii. Also stayed at the Palmer House in Chicago at times. Our boss lived in Quincy, Mass. Good guy. Fair boss.
This was many decades back.
Met Tip O'Neill,, who was speaker of the house and we got a partial tour of the Kennedy Compound. Our boss had a beautiful old English type Inn out at Chatham on the Cape.
Back East tripped me out. Got to surf the Cape a few times but nothing really to speak about.
Really liked Province Town and it's artsy hippy gay vibe. ;)

why is someone not sitting down with these legends and a video camera, and just letting you talk story.

a documentary of sorts, like malcolm gault williams website, only live story.

So you get the shot, you get somewhere between a sore arm and a couple of days of flu, you can still get and spread covid, you still have to wear a mask, and you have to get it again next year...
Nah, they didn't rush this at all. That's a republican conspiracy of lies.

One thing I do know is that we will likely be in this for quite a while.

People who think that is going to go away by summer are crazy.

Yes but the chances of COVID having a high effect on you and possibly killing you is reduced greatly.

yup
with 30%-50% of the population here with some type of comorbidity like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, arthritis asthma, bad cholesterol and cancer recovery, especially among the native populations, anything to limit the impact of this virus is a plus. Masking and social distancing will become the norm for a while at work and in the public.

With a population of 1,056,727 residents, the share of Adults 18 and Older At Higher Risk of Serious Illness If Infected With Coronavirus for Hawaii is 35%-40% or 412,878 residents or 154,822 for those under 65 and 258,056 for those over 65. That's a good chunk of the community.

Kaiser Family Foundation Article

And for the so called healthy ones, they're saying today that 30% of those who've recovered from covid are having some form of brain impact and psychiatric problems most commonly, these disorders ranged from anxiety disorders to substance misuse disorders, insomnia, brain hemorrhage, stroke, and (much more rarely) dementia. (probably explains what's been going on here in the political forum; psychosis)

WebMD Story

Imagine what the next version of this will be like. Especially if it was lab created as imagined.
I thought this was the perfect engineered bioweapon as it keyed on humans innate weakness of needing to socialize and touch one's face constantly. The perfect propagation engine based on key human weaknesses. It's success feeds on our inability to do what naturally makes us human.

I wonder if anyone's studied the percentage spread among mute/deaf population who can communicate at a distance with hand signals and not need one's mouth to be spewing viral load. The more you need you hands to communicate the less you'll be touching your face.

anyway lucky we live Hawaii
we work together to get this under control with vaccines and good social etiquette and we have a chance for a hyper-vee recovery. It won't be the same, but we can become one of the safest, cheapest and exotic places in the US to vacation at. It'll be like coming out of the H3 tunnel into the windward side if we get it right. But right now it can go both ways if these numbers stay in the triple digits. They say what happens in the US is four weeks behind Europe and Hawaii is always behind the mainland so we'll see.

On top of this article comes China preventing researchers while in country.

More and more I am starting to think this originated in a Wuhan lab. Originally I thought that theory was whack. But now I am not so sure.
Politico ran an article a couple of weeks back about a likely leak. Maybe fooling around with viruses in a lab isn't such a good idea.
