With schedule stuff, swell, trying different boards, blah...blah, only been able to get this thing wet a small handful of times,
none of which were in cleanish waves...until today. Paddled out into high-tide conditions but with sets hh+ from time to time,
and grabbed a left with a lined-up wall stretching out and just FLEW down the line, high-lining a couple sections and
flying off the bottom around another into a wrap before launching out the back when it closed out. Almost immediately got
another left with same result, but able to lay into a more proper full-rail carve before it died. On my way back out I snagged
an overhead right with a fun drop to full carve, to cruise before it backed off. At least 8 people immediately joined me
after the flurry, with 4 different friends going off about the waves I lucked into and comments about how smooth and
fast the board looked (almost never, ever happens). Couldn't believe the fun I had in about 35 minutes.
DJ, thank you for the epic little shred stick! Don't sleep on DK's skills, folks.

I call dibs
Nah, after a handful of super fun surfs on it over the past several days, she's definitely going
to Mainland with me this summer. Had a blast over about 3 hours this a.m. on some hh-overhead, racey walls,
and some inside chest-ish clean runners that allowed for several turns per wave. Buttery wraps and a few snappy
top-turns in the mix. Dig it! Traded boards for a few with a regular to try his mid-length and when we traded back
he said he's sworn he'll never buy another twin-fin...but that he'd buy my board from me. lol
Thank you, DJ!

Top, because I have more time...and because there are so few reviews here. Let's here 'em, folks that have
gems you haven't reviewed and extra time to talk about them.
This little twin keel is fun as hell and has been one of my most-used boards over the past several months.
I'm frothing on the thought of it on a lined-up, hh+ left Mex point. My inner Burch will runneth over!!

The new boards I’ve been getting I just post em up in the what boars you got on order. (Spelling like havoc is a lot of work, my phone auto corrects boars to boards and sh*t). Haha. And my reviews are in the community surf journal.

But yeah let’s see them reviews with pics. And surfing pics of boar in action.

DK's boards are epic. My swordfish has been one of my favorite all time boards. My son recently sold some of his boards, but one he wouldn't part with was his swordfish. It's beat up, but still surfs lights out.

May have to try his keel.

WOW, DJ does it again. Beautiful board. How did I miss this in November? DJ is the best kept secret. I have a Speedialer, an egg and two shortboards from Dk...all magic.

Yep, talented guy and actually very smart business-wise. I hope his operation comes out of this mess
successfully. This is my favorite keel fish (of several) I've owned.

I’m not a quad guy at all, but go batshit for twins. I’ll look into that.
All ... I've got a Dk Swordfish quad, and I love it. But, I'm also tempted to get one of his twin fin fish (I've never ridden one), too. Can you guys who have ridden both (quads and twins) explain how they surf differently (like why might you like twins and not quads)? I kind of figured that the quads might have almost the same amount of fin surface area as the twins, and so feel similar?

how'd you size it relative to your height/weight?

Me: 5'10", 170-180lbs
Board: 5'7". I think its 19 1/2 wide and 2 3/8 thick, but that's based on my crude measuring skills. I picked the board up 2nd hand to try it out.

The swallow tail is pretty large, so I think I lose about 7 inches off the tail of the board to get my rear foot in position. It took me a while to not miss my back foot standing up, but now I've got it down. I've been working on my back mobility to get me into position. My son had it in the fall/winter in Santa Cruz and he's about the same size and was killing it up there (amazing to see the board hold up on well overhead waves when everyone else had much larger boards).
