I dunno, I ain't a truck guy. My brother in law can do a lot of things himself, and his best friend is a great mechanic. All I know is that his 400k+ miles F-350 Diesel is still fresh. Saw it this Thanksgiving at my house. It is always a conversation piece amongst the neighbors when he rolls up.The problem with the Ford diesels like the 7.3L isn't the engine. The rest of the truck is what sucks. Everything just starts to fall apart around the engine.
if you wanna nerd out on Tacomas check this guys build, 1985A mechanic once told me the Toyota 22RE engine was a "million mile engine, if you maintain it".
Too many doors, too short a bed. I'll be keeping my '99 Ranger until I electrify a '08-'11 Ranger.Anyone have an opinion on the new 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid small pickup?
Agree for personal use, but for our small company where we drive all over town, and occasionally need a small bed outside the cab, it's perfect...we are looking at the very base model hybrid...better than a Prius!Too many doors, too short a bed. Is that a butterfly?I love my F-150 just as much as I love the USA if not more and wrestled with how best to show the world that fact. Until one day at the Auto parts store it appeared to me like a brilliant ray of light shining down from the otherwise cloudy heavens.

Shite pic of an American Flag in the shape of an eagle sticker. I wanted to rep the USA hard in the most semi-ironic way possible now that I live in “Rock, Flag, and Eagle“ country. Is that a butterfly?
This is kind of what I'm looking at- I like the supercars with 6.5 foot bed.

It looks like a great vehicle and excellent value, if you have more than one friend and your whole quiver is under 4'6". I don't qualify. According to Jalopnik the entire first year is already sold out on pre-orders.Agree for personal use, but for our small company where we drive all over town, and occasionally need a small bed outside the cab, it's perfect...we are looking at the very base model hybrid...better than a Prius!
