Amazing! I sold my single cab 4 banger Ranger to a guy down there who got discharged from the CG. Dude paid me 4 grand in 20s. Flew back to FL with a full pocket.
I like to think she's still plugging away down there.

those rangers were tough. I got a significant amount of air in one while crossing train tracks.
I was in the bed. not OSHA approved.

Some guys that were in High School with me started a solid little enterprise buying beat up old 90's rangers, throwing some front end Fabtech suspension on , along with fiberglass fenders, and a pre runner bumper they made at home, to resell them at a profit.

Owned a '95 4.0L and an '04 3.0L. Besides the 4.0L having a fuel pump quit at 25k miles (under warranty) and the 3.0L needing a valve job at 70k miles (older engine design, valve seats cast as part of the head, rather than separate hardened parts pressed in) they were both reliable trucks.

Just rented the redesigned / mid-size 2021 Ranger Crew Cab 4x4 on Kauai for 5 days. Seems good, but after owning an F150 for 8-years now I don't think I could ever go back.

I've owned a 72 f150, 86 f250, 09 ranger. F250 was the best. Inline 6 with four in the floor. :jamon:

Tried the new ranger and f150 for loaners when my car got hit. Ranger was small and cramped and had that stupid 5 foot bed. Stupid. You could load a boogie board and a small dog back there. And only 2 mpg better than the f150.

I think a lot of people are holding on to their old Toyota or Ford Nissan pickups because they are cheap to own and reliable and they don't want a huge monster like a Taco. So yeah, the Maverick will prob sell well, plus it's a hybrid.

I would buy a Maverick Hybrid a heartbeat if they offered a bed bigger than 4.5 ft
I'd love a highly fuel efficient 4 door with a 6 foot bed. I don't need it to haul much, or have massive ground clearance. I just want to be able to put things in the bed sometimes and get good mileage all the time.

The alternative has been a solid mid size wagon, but you lose the ability to stack things up in the back.
