Why do you think that is?

Do you think they enjoy living in their own own sh!t and shooting up?

Addiction is part of a broader problem people have, it's an illness, addiction doesn't exist on its own.

These are not normal people like you and I who one day decided to get addicted.

That's not how any of this works.

I can't believe I have to spell this out to a medical professional. Sheesh.

Did I say that anywhere, ever???!!!!

I fcking work with addicts you idiot.

BUT, at the end of the day all that is beside the point.

Only ONE thing will pull them out of addiction. Their own will and desire.

Maybe you will have an addict in your life someday who tears you apart inside while flushing their life down the toilet and you'll understand.

The problem is a person like you becomes an enabler.

No addict came out of addiction on their own will, so it's not just ONE thing.

Either way, blaming people for their illness is pretty gross, especially for someone who works with addicts.

Nobody normal chooses the path of addiction without having other underlying mental problems.

False, false, false. People do kick it on their own. Many can't.

Regardless.

They are the ones who choose to kick their addiction. And only them. They are the only ones who can do it.

The resources must exist (and they do) once they make that choice to get clean but the choice is theirs.

You want to tell the people who do rehab and addictions counseling and the recovering addicts they're wrong go right ahead.

The will politely tell you to fck off.

Idiot.

I never blamed anyone for their addiction.

You're lying, as usual.

People choose to continue their addictive behavior.

Is the addiction their fault? No.

The continued behavior? Yes.

Nobody normal chooses the path of addiction without having other underlying mental problems.
False.

STFU already.

You really haven't a clue so don't act like you do so you can win an erBB argument.

So stupid of me to engage you in the first place.

Okay so it's not "ONE" thing. That's at least TWO things.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

Isn't their continued behavior the result of the same problem that made them become addicts in the first place.

You are contradicting yourself.

I agree, you are stupid.

Those who get clean really wanted to get clean. Those who didn’t apparently didn’t really want to get clean. Obvs.

Talked with a homeless guy panhandling outside a grocery store recently. He said that his wife was very sick and that her hospital care had exhausted all of their funds. He was living in his car with their dog. US healthcare system took them down
I'm calling BS.

Everybody has family and friends (if you're not a POS) that will gladly help out if you wanted it or needed.

These homeless people are selfish drug users and drunks. Period.

I love it when. people get at the door of TJs. I would give them an orange.

I notice that addicts really like to get high.

And they have kick ass stamina.

I used to try to keep up with my alcoholic friends and never could.

I think drug addiction is a maladpation of super power energy.

Like people on the spectrum, Addicts are very dominating too.

The solutions is distasteful to everyone so nothing will change.

Hari's book on addiction is excellent.
