After years of hunting, I finally picked up a 7'4" HR in Santa Cruz of all places. Had a lot of fun with it a first point, PPoint. The board came with an 8" California classic fin. @waxurDyl and other HR owners, what fin set up are you using. Thinking of a 6 inch center fin with some side bites, but which ones for the side fins and center fin. Thanks.

I have something similar, a custom based off a Takayama Howard Mini, I run a 6.5" bonzer center fin with Futures F2 grom fins as sidebites. Forget who recommended this type of setup but it works really well. It's also pretty close to the set that CI sells for the CI Mid.

I was running a larger center with standard side bites but found it was a little stiff and didn't want to connect turns. The fin change fixed that.

Picked this up in a trade. It says "Egg', but looks identical to a Huevo. It's like new, but the guy I got it from said it was sitting in the shop for a while (fin boxes are even yellowed). Did this become a Huevo or is it totally different?

Haha, yeah, i think we all know that. The Huevo Ranchero model dates back at least 12+ years and this board is like new. Just making sure since I'm listing it for sale and wanted to be accurate.

I love my HR. its such a versatile board. 2 foot mush to DOH+ mush at Makaha and Lani's. Just surfed it at Swami's 2 days in a row in big solid conditions. Currently, running it with NVS twin fins and a small True Ames 3" trailer for stability.

I just picked up a 3” trailer for my HR, where in the fin box do you have it placed?
