But joking about dead old folks as we watch our loved ones die is pretty messed up. I lost my dad a couple of weeks back. It wasn't funny.
I lost my dad in 1990 and my mom in 2005 and an adopted then “reunited with birth mom” little girl murdered by bio-mom’s boyfriend in 2008, brother-in-law in 2007, mother-in-law in 2005, best friend in 2009 and 5 (five) close friends suicided in 2018.
So I don’t need a lecture about death and jokes.

Yes, the way we deal with death and dying certainly needs to change.
Racking up million dollar medical bills in a most likely failing effort to prolong the life (a few more months of suffering actually) of an elderly person with one foot in the grave on a good day is definitely a drain on society.
What ever happened to good ole’ assisted suicide? Why did it suddenly flip to “save at all cost”?
