No, translation is, I can't be fucking bothered to go in circles with you.
You mean you can't admit that you lied?

In the very post you said you didn't defend Zimmerman, you defended Zimmerman.
Am I defending the not-guilty ruling? Yes, I am, because the courts acted exactly as they are designed to do. Am I defending him as a person? Fook no.

You can make up any sh!t you like now that thread doesn't exist anymore.
You mean like you are now? I had exactly 2 posts in that thread, and they were both about GZ/TM.

Your first thought was not where he lives but a presumption that he lived in the inner city and then you mapped your calculations from there. I doubt that was in the news.

Maybe you did it subconsciously. It's not important. I just found it curious.
I presumed nothing. There was a comment previously made in the news that he didn't live in that neighborhood. Which, BTW can only be accessed by 2 streets which connect to the highway. It backs to a a river of some sort and they have docks fronting that river so he couldn't have approached from the river side.

Here's a pic showing both of the alternatives for his route, the red one to the right now being ruled out and the purple one to the left being the way it actually was. More/less. It's 1.3 miles from the western part of the neighborhood in question to that highway junction, so the mom's house is apparently pretty close to that.

I think this additional info adds to the case that the victim was just out for a mid-day run and that these guys made a mistake. Or hunted him down in cold blood and for no reason at all.

Unlike communist shitholes like the one you grew up in and that you yearn for the US to become, defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty and require proof BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT for a guilty conviction. In the case of GZ, having your face bashed in provides plenty of reasonable doubt that makes the prosecutions burden of proof very difficult to come by.
I like how you managed to squeeze in a condescending ethnic jab in there.

Good work.

And I love how you mask your opinion with what happened in the trial while ignoring the fact that Zimmerman pursued TM without any evidence and initiated the confrontation, just like in this case.

But no, you're not defending Zimmerman, just like you're not defending Trump.

Just look at an aerial of the area. Notice the distance between the city limits vs this neighborhood (6.5 miles). Zoom down and look at the highway between town and that big-ass industrial park to the east of the scene of the crime. Zoom in and look at the bridge - that's a 2-mile span with a 50mph speed limit, 2 lanes of travel and a shoulder (no sidewalk). Does that look like a primo running route to anyone here?
I presumed nothing.
Okay.

When the news accounts refer to him being from Brunswick and other references are that he didn't live in the neighborhood where he got killed that makes the city of Brunswick itself a logical starting point. Not a completely random assumption that he lived in (your words) the inner city.

FWIW when I go out on bike rides I like to explore new towns and neighborhoods. Many of them very wealthy and outclass me. I enjoy the expensive house porn. Nobody hassles me cause I’m white and I’m riding a $3k bike. But to think that he did something wrong by being in another neighborhood where he doesn’t live is racist in itself. The only thing that could potentially apply here is if this was a private gated community with posted no trespassing signs. And that in itself isn’t a capital crime.

Running bridges in Florida is a meme. Personally, my ankles always detested, passionately, downhill of any real grade, so it's not for me, but yeah, pretty much any bridge = festooned with runners, walkers, etc.

In the case of this neighborhood the streets appear to be completely open to public access and there don't appear to be any signs posted about residents only. But you do have to turn off the main road or else cross from the north to get in and there's nowhere to go but right back out again. I can see how a runner might incorporate that loop into their run.

I live in a neighborhood that a lot of people drive to so they can go for a walk or run on leafy suburban streets with little car traffic, so I get the idea of running to somewhere nice to run.

Those crackers knew he was coming and were waiting there with their guns out and loaded. Murder.

Which is one reason I brought the proximity of the other neighborhoods up myself.

Wouldn't you like to know where he lived in relation to the scene of the crime? Wouldn't you rather know it was 1 mile or 20 miles away? If not, why not? One of the primary points I've been making in this thread is that these facts have already been known by the cops since the outset, but that info hasn't made it out to the public. Asking why isn't unreasonable.

Even if it was 20 miles. It's a free country. You have a right to be jogging down any street in America.

Cops squashed this case until the video got out and a massive social media campaign forced them to DO THEIR FVCKING JOBS.

This. I've not been hassled once in my life for "being somewhere you're not supposed to be".

There are two people posting on this thread who should just fuckking give it up already
Two? You are too generous.

IMHO it's time to codify the Stand Your Ground vs citizen's arrest thing. Personally, I think citizen's arrest should be outlawed, and anyone in the United States should be allowed to respond with lethal force to any non-uniformed officer attempting to detain them.

I didn't much care for the DARE program in school in the late 1980s. One thing I remember the resource officer tell us, very strictly and clearly, was that if someone says they're an officer of the law, and they try to detain you, and you want to believe them and comply but aren't sure, that you should evade physical grasp, and ask for them to summon a uniformed officer while you remain nearby but not in physical custody. He said if you get anything other than happy compliance, to run for your life.

This is the most disturbing fact in all of this.

Just think how many cases like this as well as police brutality have been hushed down because there was no video.

Just look at how the attitudes in this thread changed in comparison to the original thread while the facts didn't change.

I'm just flabbergasted that our resident gun turds, GrossDad, Squidley and GoodOlBoi, haven't chimed in yet.

There's just nothing for them to say.

Just seething, impotent rage.

This is America they want but they also want to ignore cases like this.

My initial comment in this thread was that there must have been a reason for referring the case to a grand jury instead of going directly for the arrest and prosecution. The local DAs letter - where he said he was going to recuse himself - does provide an explanation. People will judge that explanation for themselves.

At any rate, it wasn't the local cops or the local DA who were social-shamed into doing that job. It was apparently the GBI (state) that is doing it.

How about the DA's who were trying to give there former employee a pass on murder? As soon as GBI got involved they were charged immediately, out Justus system is fooked beyond belief.
