ENT surgeon in North Carolina one could personally recommend?

I have been referred by my local ENT to see an ENT surgeon at UNC Chapel Hill for surgery for surfers ear. I do not know anyone in my area who has had the surgery or could refer a surgeon. Anybody from NC had the surgery from a surgeon in NC?

I don't know any personally but I think you should be fine at UNC CH. Our guys here at EVMS are pretty good at it, I'd be fine with any of them doing mine. Any concerns and Duke is right around the corner.

Getting it done with UNC Surgeon, Dr. Brown. Tomorrow. He uses the drill method. I will let you know how it goes.

Writing this 2 days after surgery. Off all prescription pain meds. little drainage. Sore not really painful or throbbing. Packing stays in for 4 weeks. packing is the aggravating part but small issue in the larger picture. Will update weekly. I think I am still 8 weeks out of the water.

Dr. Brown at UNC ENT gets 5 star review from me.

I am now cleared to get back in the water. 5 weeks out of the water. Off narcs the day after. It was not as bad as I thought.

I will get the other done in the next three years.
