The Mrs. and I picked up these Townie Go peddle assist ebikes last spring. They're 7 speed cruisers and include high quality Bosch electronics. We added surf racks to both and I installed a milk crate on mine to carry wetsuits, towels, water bottles etc...It's especially helpful for the heavy ass motorcycle chain lock we use. The peddle assist is really helpful when you're riding against the wind with a board in the racks, especially after surfing a couple of hours and your legs have turned to jello.Electra-Townie-Go.png

For the first time ever I saw a homeless with an e-bike down by the corner.

It was a Specialized he had weakly spray painted dark green.

He had it set up to tow his personal items in a little cart!

E-bikes may revolutionize homeless livin'.

For a while the homeless population in Skid Row knew how to work the system for free rascal scooters via medicare or medicaid and there were just a ton of them scooting around skid row and joining neighborhoods often times piled high with garbage and other street mods. Haven't been down there in a while, not sure if it's still the case.

Seriously!! They are trying to push through a large tax credit for ebikes. Could be my ticket to a nice MTB!

Could it have been operating purely under human power because when he cut a lock and stole it that doesn't get you a charger?
