Bodyboarder Kirahu Thibaud dive bombs Justne Dupont at Teahupoo.
My position is that paddlers (even bodyboarders) have priority over tow-ins but I realize that Teahupoo is a little different and the locals have accepted that mixing tow and paddling is ok.
Justine posted that he apologized and everything is cool.

Woa!

I bet the bodyboarder may not have even thought she was going to drop in, split second type of thing for him, just instinct, to turn and go. Maybe a blind spot in his eye (I seem to have lots of them now).

What he did do instinctively, or their was divine intervention, was to not make the wave and burry rail on drop to avoid collision.

Saw another post saying “he didn’t see her”.

I don’t know, I like the paddler has priority idea but realistically in waves of actual consequence like those it should be the traditional who ever is deepest.

Fuck that fucking sweet and delicious bag of sugar with the red Bull helmet mounted GoPro.

And fuck “Poto” for not only allowing such an abomination but actually taking part in it.

One is towed in with a go-pro on their head
the other is a boogie boarder who drops in on people

They were destined for each other -

Triggered much? :roflmao:

Justine Dupont is about as committed as any woman on earth. She went out and paddled into a few. Got worked. Got a good one. Then some of the most experienced locals invited her to tow at a place where towing and paddling regularly happen together. She jumps on the rope and a bodyboarder who did not see her and apologized for his actions drops in close enough to make contact with her arm....but she still made the wave. Sure, she caught a rail on her bottom turn, but abomination?
