sending absentee Ballots by request is way different than sending unsolicited ballots to every single person on the voter rolls.

but whatever.

2 points for you.

Where did that happen? Was there some sort of public health emergency going on that made unwise to have large amount of people gathering and waiting in line together? Was sending out the ballots in that deemed unconstitutional or a violation of state law? Did the conservatives who were undoubtedly against it offer early voting, weekend voting, additional poling places, or anything to address the problem at hand? And - most importantly - is there evidence massive fraud resulted from the heinous act of trying to make it possible for people to participate in democracy safely?

Can anyone honestly answer those questions and still support the Republican asshat politicians who have openly admitted increased voter participation is bad for their political team and are now on a mission to do everything in their power to make voting more difficult despite despite zero evidence of significant fraud?

* note: saw that ballots were sent to all voters in a number of places, but also saw that has been the practice for a while in a number of states as well...and still no evidence of significant fraud.

I've voted by mail for at least the last 15 years.

But I'm a relatively rich white guy so it's all good.

Exactly. No evidence whatsoever of electoral fraud. The issue - the only issue, the real issue - is that Republicans lose when more people vote. It is in their interest to suppress voting because they are the minority party - they have no other way to win.

edit: Arizona GOP'er says aloud what other Repubs only dare to think:

“There’s a fundamental difference between Democrats and Republicans,” he told CNN. “Democrats value as many people as possible voting, and they’re willing to risk fraud. Republicans are more concerned about fraud, so we don’t mind putting security measures in that won’t let everybody vote — but everybody shouldn’t be voting … Not everybody wants to vote, and if somebody is uninterested in voting, that probably means that they’re totally uninformed on the issues. Quantity is important, but we have to look at the quality of votes, as well.”
TLDR: we only want voters who think the way we do.
