Does this mean I'm turning ultra right-wing?

No, it isn't.

Have you ever work at a bar or restaurant?

When it's closing time and it's time to go, it's time to go.

Refuse? The cops are getting called.

Same thing here.

The school was shutting down the stadium for the night.

They were told to stop playing.

They refused.

Cops were called in to end the music.
it's not the same

My thoughts exactly.

He thought he was going to get Fuck the Police accolades from the students.

When a teacher needs to impress students in that sort of way it wouldn't surprise me if there's other stuff going on as well.

The guy had already been made to resign for bad behavior elsewhere.
there's got to be some line between ignoring a stupid request from an officer and sovereign citizening.

we actually have laws so it shouldn't be so hard to figure out.

still not understanding how ignoring an officer's request to ask a band to stop playing music can lead to being detained

He even says 'this is the last song' signaling that the music will be coming to an end shortly. the police escalated for (some) reason.

Cops like when you do what they tell you to do in the moment. I don't treat them as constitutional scholars, I treat them as aggro jocks with weapons. Sometimes you have to stop playing.

Go to a restaurant tonight with some friends, stay til closing, and be an outspoken jerk when you're told to leave. Then, when the cops come, keep acting like a jerk and refusing.

Tell them "get out of my face" seven times and you're "I'm almost done with my conversation" and then you'll leave.

That will help you figure it out.

It's called disorderly conduct, a law on the book in every state.

I am not sure why you, an adult, find this hard to understand.

(a) A person commits the crime of disorderly conduct if, with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, he or she does any of the following:

(1) Engages in fighting or in violent tumultuous or threatening behavior.

(2) Makes unreasonable noise.

(3) In a public place uses abusive or obscene language or makes an obscene gesture.

(4) Without lawful authority, disturbs any lawful assembly or meeting of persons.

(5) Obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic, or a transportation facility.

(6) Congregates with other person in a public place and refuses to comply with a lawful order of law enforcement to disperse.

(b) Disorderly conduct is a Class C misdemeanor.

He even says 'this is the last song' signaling that the music will be coming to an end shortly. the police escalated for (some) reason.
He was told to stop the music.

Not to play one final song (however long that was going to last...10 seconds or 10 minutes...)

To stop the music.

Further, the cops had no reason to believe the guy who starts defiantly with "GET OUTTA MY FACE!" over and over was going to comply.

In fact, the band director was signaling the opposite.

It's no surprise he later resisted arrest.

Try as you might, it’s still a lame comparison to the subject of the original topic of the thread. Your restaurant tripe is farther off yet. 5/7.

Which part exactly?

The text of the law - i.e. "disorderly conduct" part?

The assessment of an outspokenly belligerent individual's honesty and willingness to comply?

The part about LEO's rights to order people to disperse?

I'm guessing you haven't spent much time around the legal system or had/seen too many encounters with police. Am I right?

Have you ever had large groups of people or minors under your supervision? I think your tune on this topic would change really quick - you seem out of touch with both facts and how the real (responsible) world operates.
