custom board builder for speed dialers is pretty epic. i found that using the 3D view gives a super realistic view of the board

DK is an amazing shaper. I've been a fan of the swordfish for a while, but just added new board to the mix.

Picked up a custom 6'6" step up from him that fluking rips. The thing is loaded with foam, but he took the rails down a ton so that it feels more or less like a daily driver despite being 2 3/4" thick. Had my first at OB Saturday before last and had so much fun. Wished I had bought a board like that years ago for winter beach break.

DK goes way back here and it's awesome to see where he is right now. A lot of people have had great experiences with his boards. Great custom guy that can shape anything.
Ordered Swordfishes for my son and I a while ago.

The only board I ever enjoyed more was my first shortboard, just because it wasn't a longboard. My son won't part with his.

I did my best surfing on the Swordfish. Gets you into waves early, has blazing speed and control.

DK's shapes rock. He shipped the boards to me in Florida on time and in mint condition. Quality guy.

DK shaped me a Dialer in 2008.

Dealing with him was a pleasure, the board came insane, and he was really interested in fine-tuning the board for me, so I was stoked!

Would order from him again anytime if he comes to Europe or anyone is willing to cross the Atlantic with it...

Love to read that he's doing well as a shaper, I remember the Moonlight era when he was just finding his path through all this. He deserves to be a successful shaper.

Here’s the new step up. I hadn’t seen any of his HP boards in person and his new site wasn't up, so I ended up asking a ton of questions. Ended up getting this model which he had made a few of just recently.

6’6” x 19 3/4” x 2 3/4” with rails taken way down. It's 3L more than my daily driver and 5" longer. By comparison to a Ghost, it's got a touch more rocker in the tail, and quite a bit more in the nose.

This size board was new territory for me, and also my first time getting an HP board from DK. He killed it. I was kinda stressing that the rails would be beefy given all the foam, but they came out quite refined.

First surf was an absolute blast. Could easily navigate around a big lineup, and could sink the rail and redirect the board way easier than I had imagined a board with this rail line would suggest.

DK has got a-grade skills and pedigree. Between his HP work with Pyzel and fish work with Pavel, the dude has a really cool combination of influences. Good nominee for the one-shaper quiver.

The OC
DK had the best booth at the Board Room show IMO. Had some great shapes and he is offering a lot of cool alt constructions through the glassing shop he owns, including both flax and vaccum bagged full carbon builds.
