Why you hate my horizons so much?

I like big colas and I cannot lie! some other brothers might deny….

if anything, I tie them sideways, so the bottom branches make colas as long as a Jamaican sprinters legs.
i have only been growing it for a few seasons, and I have always topped the plants. So it you don't top em the buds get larger?

This is my experience, and I have done pretty much every gawd damned thing you can imagine to them, just for the sake of experimentation. Driven nails thru their stalk base, torn them in two and staked each one to the ground (you would not believe the MASSIVE bush that resulted), grown them sideways and even upside down…. hanging too, of course, suspended in water, in just rocks with no dirt to speak of, etc…

My experience is the less you do to the plant, the more they express their own personal genetics.

I leave them alone, fertilize very little and always only top feeding with the fertilizer mixed into the top fed dirt, but this is also because the dirt in my buckets is heavily prepared in the off season. I tie them over if they reach higher than my shoulder, because the taller ones get shade to the bottom branches, and when tied side ways, those bottom branches create solid colas with full sun exposure which will provide much more weight than even the notorious top cola. I use a bucket inside of another larger bucket, so that they are movable should the weather deem it necessary, and also because I prefer watering from the bottom during the flowering phase, not from the top, so as not to disturb them roots. Once they start to flower, the less you mess with what is under the soil, the more you will see the flowers develop up top…. think karmically when you grow, whatever is done to the bottom of the pot, will directly affect the top, your flowers. Finally, I pretend to be a deer and “eat” the ripest leaves off the plant always, as these are the ones that most attract bugs I have found. Those leaves are like a neon sign for bugs from what I’ve seen… keep the plant green, strong and healthy looking, check it often as what you see in the morning could be totally different come sun down. Water as infrequently as possible to keep them alive and thriving, but also make sure they have dry spells to stress a bit, especially during the flowering period as this causes them to try to “reproduce” more and thus throw more resin heads. Finally, stop watering completely at the end, start the drying and trimming process right in the bucket. By the time you cut down the entire plant, they should be ready to just turn upside down and hang to dry. Personally I stop the watering 10 to 14 days before the day of the new moon upon which I plan to cut the plant.

Growing your own medicine is fun, just like growing your own food is… it surprises me that some people have not learned this already, especially in this day and age. Depend on others for your sustenance, and see how your life goes in the coming times. Whatever you do, have fun doing it…. never listen to the naysayers, especially the ignorant ranting ones.

Thanks for sharing that. I'll try this next grow....What if I expose the buds to a little gamma radiation? Maybe they will increase in size so you get softball sized buds

the plant I had to pull inside cause of the dust. As you can see by the live resin in the cart next to the jar, it actually was NOT too early. The heads were all milky white to the max, not one amber head yet…. Thus the clarity and amazing terpenes of the resulting resin.

These below are some autos I sowed in early July….

WeeD is tight, so are these dense little nuggets. Snow covered diamonds of lovely meds.

looks like I have 2 indica oriented, and 2 sativa leaning strains.

whatever, I am down for the surprise. not sure which one, but something in there smells awful fruity!

went for a short surf today to take advantage of the late summer south swell running mixed with the hurricane swell passing by up north, as I got out of the water a buddy came over to the car and gave me these ^^^^^ a gram a piece of some of his homegrown and homemade hashish.

got to love Europe sometimes. Hashish culture is STRONG here. :shaka:
