I think the headline of this is backwards, I see more Texas license plates in San Diego than any other plates. It used to be AZ in the summer, now I see at least 3-5 Texas license plates a day. I have lived here since a child in the 80's, my family has been here since the 60's and all say the same thing. What I can't understand is why are so many people from Texas moving to CA? All they do is bitch about how lame CA is, so why the fook are they moving here???

This is great for California.

I hear Gov Newsom mention that most of the homeless (vagrants) in California were from Texas. Whereas the majority of former Californians are using their newly attained wealth to purchase big brick homes in safe Texas neighborhoods. I guess Texas weather is fine when you're living in a brand new bought and paid-for 4 thousand square foot mini-mansion.All that tax money and cashed in home equity is the issue.

Every Texan I know loves California and wishes they could afford to live here, so we get the rich 1% and the losers too. Thanks Texas.

No state income tax, cheaper COL, etc. the data on the in/outflow between the state is empirical and CA is absolutely losing more residents than it gains to/from Texas. CA recently lost a House seat and Texas could gain another if the trend continues.

Don’t get me wrong it aint worth it to me but that’s the logic.

I see too many of them to just be tourists, and all year round. Mostly look like younger 20-30's aged. I see Texas plate cars at all the malls, grocery stores, oh and several at local surf spots. I just genuinely wonder and are curious why there are so many plates from Texas in a state that most Texans hate and make fun of. I wish I knew. But then again, I see more out-of-state plates in San Diego now than I have my whole life.
