That I've had at least. Rode it all this past week of swell and it's rockin'. Any love for DHD here?

I had a friend who swore by this model until he rode a driver. And he swore by that until he rode a radius. And then the didn't like the DNA anymore

Not sure that rocker would do most people any favors. That's why I recommend that everyone at my local surf this board, but at no more than 5'9, 18 1/2, 2 3/16. If you increase the volume, you can't capture the true Fanning shreds.

DHD builds probably the best designed standard high performance shortboard for point break surfing ever. If the waves are steep, fast, and long his boards are amazing

Only heard great things about the DX1 and DNA. They suit the conditions here for sure.

I have been keeping my eyes out for one of those Wilko models for small clean waves - I felt one up and the rails are really impressive.

the mini twin also has quite the following, despite a few reports of poor build quality (in terms of longevity).

Here? Hawaii? California?
The mocking tone in this thread suggests some of you don't know much about board design.

DhD rails always felt knify to me on most models. Little slim top to bottom, no? Pretty rockers though.

Gold Coast (east coast) Australia.

the knifier rails may be more feasible here with the difference in swell energy generally (From what I have heard - have never surged in CA).

Lennox Head.
lower periods but paradoxically, much hollower and zippier surf.

Kolohe looked shite on his DHD at J-Bay, catchy and imprecise.

Fanning is a much more precise surfer.

Yes, the shorter period swells tend to be much steeper and punchier for their relative size. Knifey rails and generous rocker is no problem for the surf over yonder.
