If you wanna ride yer mid length or log like a short bord then yesDoes Devon Howard know what he's talking about? This came up in my YouTube feel but haven't watched it yet.
lol I guess you didn't watch the videoIf you wanna ride yer mid length or log like a short bord then yes
I have watched DH surf along with other modern day hipster mid length riders and it bores me and rather watch Curren and Occy on 6' thrusters surfing the way I like to watch surfinglol I guess you didn't watch the video
The point of the video is to learn to stay on rail, which is what good surfers do. When pros surf shortboards, they stay on rail but they just make snaps and cutbacks a lot faster than they'd make turns on a midlength. The midlength forces you to slow down and stop taking frantic, stabby, partial turns and use more of the wave. SBD gave good advice.I have watched DH surf along with other modern day hipster mid length riders and it bores me and rather watch Curren and Occy on 6' thrusters surfing the way I like to watch surfing
Not on rail....If you don’t surf on rail, what do you surf on? The whole board just flat on the water? I can’t even picture how it would work
(looks out at the ocean, sees people surfing)
oh, like that.
Full commitment right there!
