Huge props for posting up.
In the interests of ReForest's ongoing improvement. Is it me, or does the rider/boar combo never seem to get out of first gear? I see lot's of trimming, but not much real speed generation. I think the legs need to be utilized much more. I am not seeing much actual effort made towards shreddage.

In other words, push the boar harder.

I looked at other videos on his insta. Its the board. Its a dog. He surfs better on better boards.

It took me awhile to figure it out but it seems like he’s initiating turns with his hip flexors and his knees are almost always bent at the same angle. Watch when he “pumps”. Board is goes rail to rail but his knee bend angle and hip bend doesn’t change.

Needs to put some body torque into it.

Also needs to stretch out those bottom turns.

Or just get a twin keel fish.

Yes, agreed. Needs to attack the lip and sections more. Seems to be doing that more in some of the other videos.

needs to get his back foot off the front on the tailpad, if you wanna surf in trim stance why ride something that likes being ridden with your foot on the back fin like a thomo, dude surfs like he's sat in his grampas old chair.

consider using your core more to actually have some power in those turns... they're super flicky and it looks like you're largely surfing off your hips/ legs. Learning to effectively ride a wider range of boards would likely help you w/ that because you'll learn how to push through water much more effectively and with a great deal more power, as well as surf the wave from a whole bunch of different angles as opposed to just surfing the board.

Not meant to be a dig at you-- I see this in a lot of guys who learn a bit later in life, who move down to the newest HPSB way to quick because they don't want to be that older guy who looks "uncool"... but they end up majorly handicapping themselves in the long run and never really end up smoothing out their style

Props to @ReForest for being such a good sport - seriously.

IMO, and as others have spoken about, some time on diff equipment - longer boards/more rail, single fin a good option which will force you to surf the rail vs fin and hip twisting - will improv your surfing fundamentals drastically… then can get back on the tomo boards and apply your improved technique on them.

For how long he's been surfing he's killing it.
Tomos are super fun to ride, feel so fun BUT they tend to look like sh!t.

Friends who surf really well strongly recommend I stay on HPSBs with gentleman's amount of foam.

Friend who is the best surfer out of us all told me "burn those stupid wakeboards"
