Next week. Seven days camping. Panamint Valley is the focus for this trip. Darwin Springs/Falls. Minietta. A walk out to Star Wars canyon...

Maybe a trip through Ballarat down to Goler Wash and over to Striped Butte Valley. Three old prospector cabins over there. 1st come/1st served. If it's vacant, just run up the flag on the flagpole. A wood stove, basic shelter, An outhouse.

The weather is going to be perfect. Mid 60's to mid 70's. 40 degrees at night.

I need to start nutting up on my camera gear/Go Pro stuff. I don't know. I'd rather do sh!t than wank around and film sh!t.

Trying. Two computers. I just uploaded my last trips pics on my PC. I keep having troubles logging into this website from my pic PC...

I'm not some kind of video Vlogger. I really don't want to find the stuff I find. A picture is worth a 1000 words... Depending on where you point the camera...

I went out there for the first time with the GF this past weekend. Pretty amazing trip, and not very crowded like I've heard a lot of the "big name" NPs are right now.

Mostly did the entry level sh!t, but I'll share some pics anyway:

Been to Death Valley a lots of times, keep finding new things all the time.

A brave Road Runner:

Leaping over a nephew:

View from other side of the leap of Sweetie-pie and whiny niece...the heat really got the kid, but I swear, you can hardly feel the 99 degree heat when you're sitting down on the edge of a gulch like this:

Strange gravity in the layers of rock:

Come with me and I'll show you the petroglyphs:

But it can be a long walk in:

In summer, starting the death march at nearly 9K feet makes it relatively easy to get to the 11K peak...see the niece and nephew and Sweetie-pie on the right, well, on my deathbed, in remembrance of this hike, the niece and nephew will hold the cup of water inches from my mouth and say "We have to ration it!:

Mid 70s at the peak while over 100F 15 miles away:

Car camping at its Death Valley best:

While the mountain tops, canyons and slots, mines and dunes are obvious draws, going to the salt flat and laying down a mile or two west of Badwater at night and watching the sky pin-wheel above you is 1) super-duper easy and 2) sublimely stirring.
